Recruitment Overview The CSIR-IITR Junior Stenographer Recruitment 2025 aims to fill 04 vacancies (UR-02, OBC-01, SC-01) for the post of Junior Stenographer at CSIR-IITR, Lucknow. Eligibility Criteria Post Qualification Experience Age Limit Junior Stenographer 10+2/XII or equivalent; Proficiency in Stenography (80 w.p.m.) Not required 18-27 years (as on 31 May 2025; relaxations apply) Additional Notes Nationality: Indian. Age Relaxations: 5 years for SC, 3 years for OBC, 10 years for PwBD (15 for SC-PwBD, 13 for OBC-PwBD), as per GoI/CSIR rules. Widows/Divorced Women (unmarried) up to 35 years (40 for SC). Selection Process The selection process includes: Competitive Written Examination OMR/Computer-based MCQ exam (200 questions, 2 hours). Parts: Mental Ability (50 marks), General Awareness (50 marks), English Language (100 marks). Negative marking: 0.25 per wrong answer. Proficiency Test in Stenography Qualifying in nature; 10-minute dictation at 80 w.p.m. (English: 50 min transcription, Hindi: 65 min). Evaluation based on full/half mistakes (Annexure-I). Final Selection Merit list based on written exam performance for candidates qualifying the stenography test. Tie-breaking: fewer negative marks, older age, earlier qualification, alphabetical order.
